Well, this is just great news. Brisbane artists Georgie Levi and Mel Baxter have successfully forged a business out of their blatantly obvious creative talents combined with an affection for great beer to bring the bar, brewing and beer worlds Art For Brews…
There’s no denying that beer and art go hand in hand and as such Tuesday, August 19th heralds the launch of “Art for Brews”, a Brisbane design duo (Mel Baxter & Georgie Levi) who decided their shared passion for creating art and drinking delicious craft beer had best be combined.
We seek to team creative, original artworks to the beers that we love; delivering handcrafted visual identities to brews, bars and breweries alike. With previous works for Brewtal, Newstead Brewing, Young Henry’s, Bacchus and Fortitude Brewing already having graced the taps of some of Brisbane’s best craft beer bars, the launch party marks the official beery beginning of a creative new endeavour.
The Scratch Bar, located in Milton, Brisbane, will play host for the evening’s shenanigans from 6pm housing an array of local brews from Fortitude Brewing, Brewtal Brewers, ALL OF THE CHEESE (because, well, duh) and a whole wall of prints and original artwork that you can peruse and, if you’re feeling financially adventurous, purchase for a reasonable sum.
So come along and help support us put our art on great beer and, if things get messy enough, great beer on our art.
