The Sniff & Sip Sessions at Brewhouse Brisbane have gone from strength to strength. There’s no doubt about it.
Five beers paired with food at a ridiculously fantastic price saw me become a regular at the first five sessions (Beer Here/Edge Brewing, Kooinda, Brew Cult, Holgate and Brisbane Brewing Co.). The atmosphere is always relaxed, the beers are always good and the food is amazing. It’s very easy to see how these events sell out every time.
For a number of different reasons I was unable to attend sessions six (Mornington Peninsula), seven (Red Duck) and eight (Mountain Goat) but I was back in Woolloongabba for session number nine – Ekim Brewing. What a cracker!
I’ll be back again for the tenth incarnation of Sniff & Sip on the 21st of August for obvious reasons – it’s the 250 Beers Sesh.
What?! Yeah, crazy huh? Maybe. Maybe not.
You see I’m coming up to another milestone in my beer journey. My 1,250th unique beer is fast approaching (1,224 at the time of writing) so instead of the session being restricted to beers from one particular brewery, I’ll be sharing five beers that have stood out from the rest during the past few years. Some stand-out beers are stupidly rare so I’ve submitted a shortlist of 12 beers to the Brewhouse for them to execute their procurement prowess.
It’ll be different to the usual format of the sessions but equally as fun and let’s not forget the delicious food by chef Chris Wright! Hopefully, the thought of my grotty London accent making an appearance after a few beers won’t deter people from attending. Tickets are just $49 and are available here.
I’m looking forward to it. Should be fun!
