We’d both been busting to get there for some time as we’d heard they have an extensive range of craft beer so we joined forces during our lunch hour and took the 10 minute bus ride together. Bless.
You’ll never guess who was in there at the same time as us?
Well, it was only bloody Dave Bonighton from Mountain Goat! What are the chances!!
We were lucky enough to be the only customers in the store for the duration of our 20 minute stay and so managed to have a quite a decent chat with Dave who, I must say, is a jolly nice chap.
I’m guessing that Dave was doing the rounds in Brisbane ahead of tonight’s sold out Mountain Goat Beer Academy at Archive. Dave was accompanied by (I think) Anna Webb from Goat’s Queensland distributors Lock Stock & Barrel
Before Nick and I left, I upgraded myself to ‘Beer Nerd’ status and asked Dave to sign my bottle of Goat’s latest Rare Breed – Fancy Pants. Which he did whilst probably thinking what a complete nutcase I was:
